The European Commission says its age-verification solution became feature ready in April 2026. That does not, by itself, make an app available to people in Ireland.
Buyer question
Does the service need exact identity or only an age threshold? The answer should determine method and disclosure.
Evidence watch
Evaluate effectiveness and error near the actual threshold, not only aggregate model accuracy.
Sector lens
Platforms must identify the exact Irish/EU scope and feature risk. The Online Safety Code, DSA and voluntary platform policy are related but not interchangeable.
