Privacy and analytics
MyID publishes information about identity systems. We do not want your identity documents, PPS number, passwords, verification codes or personal case files.
Audience measurement
We use our own Matomo installation at mana.ie to understand page visits and link use. It is configured without cookies, honours browser Do Not Track, removes URL fragments and records only the page path rather than form values or identity-related query strings. IP anonymisation is applied by the Matomo service.
Google Analytics 4 is optional. Its script is not requested until you select “Accept analytics”. Advertising storage, advertising user data, Google Signals and advertising personalisation stay disabled. You can change your decision at any time using Analytics settings.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we send your email address, selected reader type and signup source to Brevo. Brevo sends a confirmation email; you are not subscribed until you confirm. Brevo retains your address until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Every issue includes an unsubscribe route.
Business enquiries
Business enquiry forms collect the contact name, organisation, work email, website, category and message you provide. The form sends the message through Brevo to MyID and does not create a public-site database. We retain genuine commercial correspondence for up to 24 months, or longer where needed for a live contract or legal obligation.
Provider introductions
An introduction request is sent to MyID first. We do not share it with a provider unless you separately agree to that named introduction and the provider has agreed to receive referrals. Never include personal identity data or documents.
Security records
Forms use short-lived anti-abuse records based on a one-way hash of the network address. They expire automatically and are not added to marketing records.
Your choices and rights
You can decline Google Analytics and still use every page. To access, correct or delete information held directly by MyID, email privacy@myid.ie. Newsletter preferences and deletion can also be managed through Brevo’s links in each email.
Do not email or submit passports, PSC images, PPS numbers, passwords, security codes, bank details or copies of identity documents. Use the relevant official service.
