MyID is not affiliated with the Department of Social Protection, MyGovID, the Government of Ireland, the Office of the Data Protection Commission, Coimisiún na Meán, or any state body.
We are not MyGovID
The state-run digital identity service for Ireland is MyGovID. Its official website is mygovid.ie. If you are trying to log in to MyGovID, register for MyGovID, or recover your MyGovID account, please use that official site. MyID does not host any MyGovID functionality.
We do not collect government credentials
MyID does not, will never, and cannot collect:
- Your PPS number.
- Your MyGovID password.
- Your MyGovID 2FA code.
- Your Public Services Card number.
- Photos of any of your official documents.
If any page on this site appears to ask you for any of the above, treat it as a sign that something is wrong (a phishing attempt or a compromised page) and email us at corrections@myid.ie immediately.
